Performance
Policies, management systems and life cycle inventories are only tools to reduce joules, kilos and accident rates. Since our main objective is to reduce negative environmental, social and economic impact, we have established group objectives for key Environmental aspects and Health & Safety hazards.
ESAB Group Objectives until 2012 (base year 2005)
- 20% lower energy and water use per ton consumable
- 20% less waste to land per ton consumable
- Elimination of hazardous substances
- A reduction of LTIR to below 0.5 with the ultimate goal of zero
- A reduction of LTSR to below 10
- An average yearly reporting of more than one EHS incident per employee
